Springtail CulturesTropical springtails are a small (generally 1/16 of an inch) soft bodied insect belonging to the Collembola family. Springtails feed on plants and other materials undergoing decay. Their small size makes them an ideal food source for newly emerged froglets or thumbnail dart frogs. Springtails can also be used to "seed" your vivarium, where they will quickly colonize in the humid environment and provide a tasty snack for your frogs.
