D. Tinctorius Powderblue is native to Surinam. The powderblue is one of the larger tinc morphs. As with most other tincs the powderblues are brightly colored have bold personalities, and will usually breed readily in the vivarium.
The pattern of the powderblue is very similar to the cobalt tinc, with a creamy yellow outlining on the black back, and the blue color on their legs ranging from a grey blue to a powdery light blue. Spotting on the legs. Can range from large and heavy to no spotting.
Like most tinc morphs the powderblues are best kept in male/female pairs. Females are easily identified by their larger more rounded body shape as well as the smaller front toe pads. Males will have a slimmer smaller body shape with enlarged somewhat heart shaped toe pads. The males call is a soft metallic Buzz.
